Fareham Road, Gosport

The old Ferguson T.V. manufacturing site lies alongside Fareham Reach in Gosport. Parts of the site have been used for a variety of industrial activities over many decades.

The owners of approximately 7.6 hectares (John Wyeth and Brother Ltd) initially appointed Pro Vision to prepare and submit a planning application for a high bay storage and distribution building on part of the site. A subsequent application was made for a range of B1, B2 and B8 development on the remainder of the site.

Issues of access, traffic generation, relationship to an adjoining SSSI and site subdivision had to be addressed prior to and during the planning application stage.

A summary development brief was prepared and agreed as part of the process.

The Local Planning Authority has now resolved to grant consent for all of the proposed new developments on the site.
