Development Allocations

In order to protect the interests of landowners / developers or promote certain development proposals it is often necessary to take part in the Development Plan review process.

Pro Vision currently handle a wide variety of LDF and RSS related cases from submission of representations through to Examination in Public / Inquiry case presentation. We have been successful in achieving a wide variety of allocations from Ashford in Kent, through Berkshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire to Bridgwater (Somerset) and Lydney (Gloucestershire).

Netherhampton Road, Salisbury

This site was used for the manufacturing of Spitfire aircraft during World War II. It had been declared redundant for industrial purposes but the planning authority sought to retain its industrial status.

An allocation for housing was achieved following a full Local Plan Inquiry case.

The site has now been developed by Taywood Homes.

Pewsey Hospital was a 19th Century mental hospital which has since closed. The site is located on the edge of Pewsey within the Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Part of the site was acquired by Gleeson Homes after the closure of the Hospital.

Planning permission has been gained for residential development of part of the site. The remaining area was the subject of a Local Plan Inquiry case which involved, Planning, Landscape and Highways witnesses. The case was coordinated by Pro Vision on behalf of Gleeson Homes.
