Building Re-Use

As a company we advise on a wide range of building re-use schemes. Successful schemes include the conversion of farm buildings to residential and business uses, re-use of mill buildings for restaurant and residential uses and change of use of an old cinema to a new church venue.

Sutton Manor Farm, Bishops Sutton

Pro Vision were asked to provide planning advice and related services related design to convert two existing 19th century barns into a rural business centre. The buildings have mainly brick and flint walls with natural slate roofs.

The main office has a glazed wall that is 12m in width. The design retains the character of the original building, enables views out over open countryside and helps create an open and well lit space conducive to new business activities.

The scheme evolved through a process that included careful survey work, discussions with Local Authority Officers and consideration of alternative development options.

The Scheme has both planning and Building Regulations approval and work on site is due to be completed soon.
